60% of Miami's Population consists of Immigrants

About 60 percent of Miami’s population consists of immigrants. The culture of Miami is very diverse, which can be attributed to its people coming from different cultural backgrounds.  There are many growing civilizations representing countries from all over world.
South Florida, already the top area in the United States for international real estate buyers, continues to increasingly attract attention from buyers worldwide, according to the Miami Association of Realtors.
Although domestic buyers remain the top searchers for property in the area there are an increasing number of buyers from South America. Buyers from Brazil, Columbia, Venezuela, Argentina and Peru all make the top ten list in second, third, fifth, sixth and ninth places respectively. Mexico shares tenth place with the UK, Greece and Italy.
The only other countries in the top are Canada in fourth place, France in seventh place and Spain in eighth place.
‘Miami has long attracted international buyers and investors. But now we are seeing increasing interest from emerging markets in South America, Mexico, and Asia.  These property search results confirm that Miami real estate is increasingly attracting worldwide attention,’ said Natascha Tello, chairman of the board of the Miami Association of Realtors.
International data also shows that Miami rates high on real estate searches in other countries including Germany, India, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Russia , Spain, Switzerland and Sweden. *Source: Property Wire
