Housing Market Conditions are Catching some Sellers Off Guard

In today’s market excited sellers can turn very quick inot frustrated buyers.  Some sellers are being caught off guard selling their houses really quick without making any preparations to get their new home.  Sure, go ahead and sell your house for the top dollar offer you just received but be diligent to begin seeing your next place right away. Otherwise, you can find yourself in a very uncomfortable predicament having a lot of cash in your pockets but homeless.
The South Florida's housing rebound is sneaking up on some sellers. Their homes are flying off the market in days or weeks, and the severe shortage of inventory is keeping them from quickly finding a new place. Once they sign a contract, sellers typically have only 45 to 60 days until closing -- not nearly enough time to turn around and buy in a blistering market. Buyers are struggling to find single-family homes and condos for sale as inventories are shrinking all over the place. * Some notes taken from the Sun Sentinel.
